As part of the “GO” initiative in Life Church’s vision it’s been our desire to assist with others who are serving God in various regions across the world. There are various things you can do to support these global ministries, which you can read more about below. For additional information, please contact our Compassion Team Leader, Kate Buckner.

Ebenezer Glenn Orphanage is a ministry located in Dessalines, Haiti. Founded by Don and Doris Peavey, the ministry includes an orphanage which cares for the needs of nearly 60 children (aged newborn – 18 years old), The Tabernacle church, and a school which educates children from the orphanage as well as the surrounding community. LifeChurch annually sends mission teams to the orphanage, completing various construction projects as well as hosting VBS-style camps for the children and discipleship training for the teens. In addition to these mission trips, we hold an annual Christmas Ornament fundraiser to provide the children with gifts in December, offer child sponsorship, and provide logistical support to help equip those who are running the school and orphanage.

One of our largest active ministries – Each year, upwards of 100+ people from Life Church run or walk the Detroit Half or Full Marathon to raise funds for clean water in DR Congo and Sub-Saharan Africa with dozens of other local churches in Metro Detroit.  Since partnering with TWV in 2013, over $1,200,000 has been directly raised just by our Life Church team alone.  World Vision provides more clean water than any non-government organization in the world.  They partner with children, families, and their communities to reach their full potential by tackling the root causes of poverty and injustice – providing clean water, education, medical care, food security, economic opportunity, child protection, spiritual development, and much more, all with Jesus’ love always at its center, to show unconditional love to the poor and oppressed.

While the work being accomplished is tremendous, Team World Vision at Life Church changes lives through the building Christian community and outreach opportunities throughout the training season.  To find out how you can help contact Anton Botosan at or go to
